WE’RE ON A MISSION TO
MAKE A LASTING &
IMPACTFUL CHANGE
Meet Jaimie, the founder of Fraction and learn about her experiences and philosophy when it comes to finances.
the past:
There’s no shame in growing up with limited resources and a lack of education around managing money.
Jaimie grew up living in low-income housing, raised by a single mother who counted on government assistance to feed her kids and pay the bills. She has a deep-rooted understanding of what it means to struggle with money and how that can impact a household and a family. This lived experience has been one of the primary motivators in her career to help others build better financial habits and move toward financial independence.
the present:
My name is Jaimie Goette, Owner and Lead Consultant of Fraction LLC.
I started Fraction LLC as a way to develop and provide opportunities in underserved communities in the financial arena. My passion has always been people, which is why I have found myself primarily in non-profit and healthcare finance roles throughout my career. I have seen the need for strong financial leaders repeatedly in these types of organizations.
Cost constraints often create challenges obtaining the right kind of financial talent. Many non-profits simply cannot afford a full-time CFO, but that doesn’t mean they don’t need that level of expertise to maintain the financial viability necessary to continue their mission. Working with Fraction gives your non-profit the benefit of an experienced CFO who works with your leadership team on a part-time (fractional) basis, while also representing your organization in that capacity to both internal and external stakeholders. We strive to create a strategic partnership that will help you drive your mission forward.
Founding Fraction LLC has allowed me to further expand the ways in which I can serve my community by expanding my expertise with financial coaching. Financial coaching has always been an aspiration of mine. My time in executive leadership has given me expansive experience in coaching teams and individuals to success.
Financial coaching has an inherently different focus than what most people know as financial advising. Financial coaching focuses on people’s behavior with money and money management, whereas financial advising focuses on the behavior of people’s money. We focus our work on helping you right side your finances and change your behaviors with money so that you can take steps toward bigger goals in your life, whether that be home ownership, a vehicle purchase, or moving to a financial advisor to begin investing your hard-earned dollars. You must have strong financial practices in place to achieve long-term financial goals. Fraction LLC can help you do that!
I have 13 years of experience in executive leadership with 10 of those years as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in non-profits. I am a Certified Public Accountant (CPA), a Certified Plan Sponsor Professional (CPSP), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA), and I hold a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a dual emphasis in Accounting and Healthcare. While all these certifications speak to my expertise and experience, they do not tell you who I am as a person.
First, I am someone who grew up knowing from a young age the struggles financial matters can bring to a family. That start in life gave me a sense of compassion and purpose that I could not have gained any other way. I have seen life through the lens of money challenges — as a child and professionally in struggling organizations. My work at Fraction affords me the opportunity every day to impact lives for the better. In my practice I start by asking why, and always seek to understand both where we are starting and where we are heading.
Last, and certainly not least, I am the mother of four wonderful children. I was also blessed with a fabulous partner and two bonus children several years ago. All of them are a source of inspiration and energy for me every day. I believe in leading by example, whether that is in business, the community, or in my own family. I am ready to make a significant contribution to your life, whether that is leading the finances of your non-profit organization as a fractional CFO or helping you to turn the tide on your personal financial situation as a financial coach.
I look forward to meeting you and getting to know more about how I can help you achieve your mission, goals, and dreams.
